Robert Andersson wins men's division at 3rd European Bowling Tour Masters

Kamilla Kjeldsen extends her winning streak; claims third consecutive women's title

Andersson, who led the field after the preliminaries, averaged over 218 in Round Robin to cruise to the title with 5735 pinfall total (227.00 Ave). Kjeldsen overtook her compatriot Mai Ginge Jensen in the third game and claimed the women's title for the third consecutive year

Day one leader Mai Ginge Jensen (pictured left), Denmark, and Swede Robert Andersson (right) finished the 18-game preliminaries in the 3rd European Bowling Tour Masters 2010 Tuesday morning at Lovvang Bowling Center in Aalborg, Denmark, atop the women's and men's leaderboard and lead the top 8 players into the Round Robin Match Play finals. The men's and women's champion will each receive 4.000 Euro.

Mai Ginge Jensen, Dennis Eklund lead EBT Masters after Day One

Jensen led the 16-player women's division with 2590 12-game total and an average of 215.83. Eklund had 2785 and an average of 232.08. All players return on Tuesday morning for the final six-game block on combined oil after which the field will be cut to the top 8.

Big payday for Remy Ong, wins 30.000 Euro in 9th Qatar International Open

2009SORemyOng3_small.jpg2008KUWPeterLjung_small.jpgRemy Ong (l.) from Singapore defeated fellow lefthander Peter Ljung (r.), Sweden, 416-414, in the title match of the 9th Qatar International Open in Doha, Qatar, and received the 30.000 Euro top prize. Ljung was consoled with 15.000 Euro. In the semifinal, Ong defeated Andrew Frawley, Australia, 435-405, to set up a title match against Ljung, who eliminated Britt Brøndsted, Denmark, 444-397. Brøndsted and Frawley received 5.000 apiece for third and fourth place.

Remy Ong leads top 8 into Final Round 4 in 9th Qatar International Open

Barrett still in the race for 2009 EBT ranking title

The lefty holds a 35-pin cushion over 2nd-placed Britt Brøndsted (r.), Denmark. and a 91-pin cushion over 5th-placed Peter Lung, Sweden, as the pinfall will be carried forward to the next round.

Andersson felled 1392 pins (232.00 Avg.) to lead the top 10 players into a clash with the top 6 qualifying leaders on Saturday. With Caroline Lagrange and Patricia Luoto eliminated, Britt Brøndsted (on the right), Denmark, has already won the women's rankings in Qatar.

Mathias Ă…rup shoots big series to lead Final Round One in Qatar

Nicki Ainge seals victory in 2009 EBT women's rankings

Årup felled 1444 pins, an average of 240.67, to lead the field of 36 cashers by at least 106 pins. Despite failing to make the second cut in 28th place, Nicki Ainge, (r.), England,  has sealed the victory in the 2009 European Bowling Tour women's rankings.

41 men and 7 women advance to the finals on Friday and Saturday

The 3-time World Champion had a 1540 six-game series, an average of 256.67, in the 14th qualifying squad including games of 288, 245, 278, 247, 253 and 229. The Swede outaveraged his nearest competitor, Asian ranking leader Hussain Al-Suwaidi (r.) by almost 20 pins.

2009BWCMartinLarsen3_small.jpgSwede Martin Larsen (pictured) averaged 256.67 in the 14th qualifying squad (Squad 13 was cancelled) to take a dominating lead in the qualifying of the 9th Qatar International Open Thursday at Qatar Bowling Center in Doha, Qatar. The multiple World Champion fired games of 288, 245, 278, 247, 253 and 229 for 1540 six-game total to overtake previous leader Hussain Al-Suwaidi by 119 pins or almost 20 per game. With the last two squads top go on, Yousif Falah, Bahrain, holds the 38th and final place to advance with 1287 or an average of 214.50.

Moor, Healey crack top 6 in 9th Qatar International Open

Moor rolled a 1374 series in Squad 11 to jump into third place in overall qualifying standings. With just four squads to go on Thursday, Hussain Al-Suwaidi, UAE, held on to the lead with 1421 and an average of 236.83 over six games.

Mansoor Al-Awamy (r.) posted the first 300 game of this year's event in the second game of Squad 3. Qualifying runs through Thursday, Dec. 1. A total of 48 players advance to the finals on Friday and Saturday, Dec. 18-19, 2009.

Al-Hassan rolled a 1353 six-game series, an average of 225.50, including high games of 256, 248, 242 and 236 to lead second-placed Abdulla Haroon, Qatar, by 46 pins. The 9th Qatar International Open is the richest event on the European Bowling Tour offering a total prize fund of 120.000 Euro with 30.000 Euro going to the winner.

Vikki Burbridge comes from behind to win Ebonite English Open 2009

Rolls her first two career 300 games in the single-elimination finals

Burbridge, who rolled her first two career 300 games on her way to the title match, earned the £5.000 top prize. Sandbækken pocketed £3.000 for second place, while Rob Thurlby and Darren Cundy, both England, got £1.750 each for third and fourth place, respectively.

Dom Barrett (r.), England, started the 15th and final qualifying squad with the tournament's second 300 game en route to move into the top 10, who will receive up to four byes.

Previous leader Phil Scammell slipped to second place with 1421 and is followed by Robert Kendall (r.), all from England, who had a 1403 series in Squad 9. Qualifying ends on Saturday with the final four squads and the Desperado Squad.

The Ebonite English Open 2009 is the 14th and penultimate stop of the 2009 European Bowling Tour.
