Second individual gold medal for Felicia Wong in Girls All Events at 11th American Zone Youth Championships

    2006AmZYCGirlsAllEventsFeliciaWong.jpg Canadian Felicia Wong is the red hot favorite for the girls Masters title in the 11th American Zone Youth Championships at Bol La Noria Pro in Puebla, Mexico. The Singles champion won her second individual gold medal in All Events.

    Wong was the sole player who shot all of her three six-game series over 1200 (200 average). She had the highest series in Singles (1204) and Doubles (1209) and the fourth-best in the Team event (1213) for 3626 18-game total and an average of 201,44.

    Patricia De Faria rolled a 1224-series in the team event en route to win the title for Venezuela and to capture the silver medal in All Events with 3582 and an average of 199,00. Mexico's Ana Isabel Gonzalez Gonzalez managed 1218 in team to help grab the bronze medal with 3492.

    Individual totals from Singles, Doubles, and Team are combined to determine the all-events winner. The top 12 in all-events also advance to Masters play on Wednesday and Thursday. Esther Francys Alvarez, Venezuela, hit the cutoff number with 3305 (183,61).

    Mexico, Venezuela and Team USA have three of their four players in the Masters finals. Canada, Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic are represented by one player each.
