No changes atop the leaderboard Wednesday at Chandra Open

Qualifying leader Oliver Pescher (pictured left) of Germany won his second qualifying squad Wednesday and continued to lead the field of 58 players from six countries and regions at Chandra Open in Nieuwegein, Netherlands.
Pescher had high games of 246 and 243 and a low game of 200 in his 1359 series, an average of 226.50, but failed improve his high series from Squad 1 by 20 pins. He had 1379 on the first day of qualifying including the tournament's first 300 game.
The top eight players in the overall qualifying standings remained unchanged. Dirk Dreyer (right) of Germany was second with 1369 followed by Ghislaine van der Tol, Netherlands, in third place with 1368 including 48 pins handicap and fourth place belonged to Dutch Jeroen van Geel with 1364.
By virtue of their 1-4 finish in the first three squads, those four players earn automatic berths into Sunday's finals if they don't finish in the top 30 in the overall qualifying standings. Otherwise, the next player on the will take advantage.
Germany's Birgit Pöppler (left) was the second-best woman in the field in fifth place with 1329 and was followed by three Dutch bowlers, Johnny Spil (1321), and national team members Lisanne Breeschoten (1321) and Carmen Haandrikman (1308).
Michell Stinissen, Netherlands, was second to Pescher in Squad 3 with 1308 but remained in ninth place. Former European Bowling Tour women's and men's ranking champions, Bettina Lund (below left) of Denmark, and Gery Verbruggen (below right) of Belgium were next with 1277 and 1274, respectively, to move into 10th and 11th place.

Patrick Meka, Netherlands, currently holds the 30th and last place to advance with 1178 or an average of 196.33.
Qualifying continues Thursday, Sept. 27 with Squad 6 scheduled for 8 p.m. CEST (Squads 4 and 5 have been cancelled).
The Chandra Open 2012 will be held Sept. 24-30, 2012 at 16-lane Chandra Bowling in Nieuwegein, Netherlands, The tournament is the 15th stop of the 2012 European Bowling Tour and the fifth out of seven EBT "Satellite" tournaments this season.
The Chandra Open offers total prize fund of 24.600 Euro with 5.000 Euro going to the winner and 3.000 Euro to the runner-up, while the third and fourth place finishers will receive 2.000 Euro and 1.000, respectively.
Qualifying of the Chandra Open (six-game series, unlimited re-entries) runs from Monday, Sept. 24 through Saturday, Sept. 29 with the last Squad 12 scheduled for 6 p.m. CEST and concludes with the Desperado Squad slated for 9.30 p.m. Women receive 8 pins handicap each game throughout the entire event, a standard for women on the European Bowling Tour.
A total of 38 players will advance to the finals on Sunday, Sept. 30 - the top 30 players from the overall qualifying standings plus the top 4 from a separate leader board of Squad 1-3, and the top 4 from the Desperado Squad. The top 6 qualifiers earn one bye.
The other 32 players will bowl six games starting from scratch with the top 10 advancing to the second round. The top 10 from Round One and the top six qualifiers will bowl six games starting from scratch to cut to the top 8.
Those eight will bowl another six-game block with the pinfall from Round Two being carried forward. The player with the highest 12-game total will be declared the winner.
