The foursome missed the 200-average by mere seven pins to finish with 4793 six-game total and an average of 199.71.

Vick led the team with 1273 and was followed by Blanchard (1227), Farish (1187) and O'Grady (1106). It was the second gold medal for Blanchard after his victory in Singles.

"This is absolutely amazing," said O'Grady, who earned a doubles silver medal with Blanchard on Monday. "The hard work we put into this tournament all paid off today. Leading by as much as we did, we really made a statement. You always want everybody to play catch up."

Dan Vick shot 691 in the three-game morning block on the short oil pattern at Bol La Noria Pro to get Junior Team USA off to a fast start and finished with field-best 1,273 total (212.67 average).

"Dan threw the ball perfectly this morning," said O'Grady. "I don't think he missed his mark, maybe once or twice in three games. I struggled a bit but I kept clean the last few games. My teammates picked me up - that's what team bowling is all about."

Trailing the Americans by 237 pins or nearly 10 pins in average was Brazil (pictured) at 4556. Bronze went to the host country of México. The Canadians, who won gold and bronze in Doubles, averaged 184,54 which resulted in a disappointing sixth place.

Competition continues Tuesday with the boys and girls team event.

The American Zone Championships features nine countries and nearly 100 athletes, consisting of five disciplines (singles, doubles, team, all-events and Masters). Individual totals from singles, doubles, and team are combined to determine the all-events winner. The top 12 in all-events also advance to Masters play on Wednesday and Thursday.
