2011 PABCON Youth Championships to be held in the Dominican Republic

    2011PYCLogo.jpg The Pan American Bowling Confederation (PABCON) and the Dominican Bowling Federation (FEBODOM) have released the Bulletin No. 1 for the 2011 PABCON Youth Championships (Sub 16 and Sub 20).

    The championships for youth bowlers under the age of 16 and under the of 20 will be held at Cibao Bowling Center in Santiago de Los Caballeros, Dominican Republic, from July 16 through 23, 2011.

    Santiago de los Caballeros is located in the north central region of the Dominican Republic known as Cibao valley. The city is the capital of Santiago Province and the second-largest city (behind Santo Domingo) with approx. 1.9 million inhabitants.

    Cibao Bowling Center is a 24-laner equipped with Brunswick Anvilane lanes (Kegel certified).

    PABCONLogo.jpgPABCON currently consist of 27 member federations: Argentina, Aruba, Bahamas, Bermuda, Bolivia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Netherlands Antilles, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Puerto Rico, United States of America, Uruguay, Venezuela, and Virgin Islands.

    Each member federation is allowed to send four boys and four girls in the Under 20 division and two boys and two girls in the Under 16 division. To be eligible for the Under 20 and Under 16 division players must not have reached 20 and 16 years of age on Jan. 1st, 2011, respectively.

    Wednesday, July 20 - Doubles (Sub 16), Trios (Sub 20)
    Thursday, July 21 - Mixed Teams (Sub 16), Teams (Sub 20)
    Friday, July 22 - Mixed Teams (Sub 16), Teams (Sub 20) Final Saturday, July 23 - Masters Finals (Sub 16 & Sub 20)
