Inocencio shoots highest 3-game series in the 13th Annual Mini-Eliminator

Daniel Inocencio, College Station, Texas, shot a 766 three-game series in the 21st and penultimate qualifying squad to overtake the lead in the 13th Annual Mini-Eliminator at The Orleans Bowling Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. Inocencio beat the previous high score set by USBC spokesperson Diandra Asbaty (746) in the 4th qualifying squad on Tuesday by 20 pins.
Despite finishing only second in the Open Division, PBA member DJ Archer earned a bye or $1,000 as the squad leader. "Tubby" finished second to Wu Siu Hong (721) but as the Hong Kong international has already won the 13th squad he got a free re-entry for the final squad and Archer got the bye.
David Grooms, Vancover, Wash., who won the Dexter Wednesday Sweeper won the 35 and under Division with 719. Gene Johnson, Gene, Brier, Wash., led the 50 and over Division with 634, while Joanna Attard from Malta, a little island in the Mediterranean Sea south of Italy, won the 205 and under Division with 637.
The Division Daily Leaders after the 22nd and final qualifying squad will earn two byes for the finals worth $1,500 while the highest division series even gets three byes or $2,000.
The Mini-Eliminator finals will start after the last qualifying squad. The finals format is beat half-the-field in your division to advance. When all five divisions have one bowler left these five division champions will bowl a one game shootout to determine the top 5 places and the 2006 Mini-Eliminator Champion.
