Mack and Leong come from behind to win $10,000 in MoRich Over and Under Doubles Championship

The Orleans Bowling Center in Las Vegas, Nev., July 1-2, 2006

2006MorichOUDLeongMack_small.jpg Tim Mack from Garfield, New Jersey and Terry Leong from Las Vegas (pictured with Mo Pinel ) survived four rounds in the finals of the MoRich Over and Under Doubles Championship en route to claim the title and the $10,000 top prize. In the championship match, Mack (278) and Leong (222) fired a 500 series to defeat Rhino Page of Lawrence, Kan., and Warren Nelson of Madera, Calif., 428, and Scott Pohl of Burnsville, MN, and Ron Mohr of Eagle River, Ark., 426.

Kinyon and Cyr win final qualifying squad in MoRich Over and Under Doubles

The Orleans Bowling Center in Las Vegas, Nev., July 1-2, 2006

2006MorichOUDCyrKinyon_small.jpg Gary Kinyon of Lockport, NY, and Ray Cyr, New Hartford, NY, won the fifth and final qualifying squad in the MoRich Over and Under Doubles Championship to advance to the third round of the finals later today. The duo totaled 1377 over three games, an average of 229,50 per game. The tournament champions will split the $10,000 top prize.

Page and Nelson set the pace in MoRich Over and Under Doubles

2006MorichOUDPageNelson_small.jpg Team USA member Rhino Page of Lawrence, Kan., and Warren Nelson of Madera, Calif. (r-l) posted the highest series of the first day of qualifying in the MoRich Over and Under Doubles Championship on Saturday. Page had games of 226, 223 and 218 (677) and Nelson added 225, 238 and 246 (709) for 1386 pinfall total and an average of 231,00.

Roto Grip's Case and Hoffman join forces to win Squad 2

2006MorichOUDCaseHoffman_small.jpg Ron Case of Oakley, Calif., and Larry Hoffman of Fountain Hills, Ariz., shot the highest series thus far in the MoRich Over and Under Doubles Championship en route to lead the second qualifying squad with 1346 six-game total and an average of 224,33. As the squad leaders, the Roto Grip staffers received two byes into the third round of the finals, worth $2,000.

The duo felled 1342 pins and average 223,66 for the three games to win the first of five qualifying squads and to earn two byes for tomorrow's finals.

The Over/Under Doubles Tournament (July 1-2) is the first of five big events during the nine-day megabuck event. The winners will split the $10,000 first-place check.
