The field is set for the finals of the 13th Annual Mini-Eliminator

After seven days and 22 squads qualifying for the 13th Annual Mini-Eliminator finals has ended at The Orleans Bowling Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. 1 in 8 bowlers per division advanced to the finals each squad and earned at least $750. Each squad leader received one bye worth $1,000. The Division Daily Leaders earned two byes or $1,500. The Highest Division Series was awarded three byes or $2,000.
Two of the highest series were rolled on the final day. Daniel Inocencio, College Station, Texas, shot the highest three-game series of the entire qualifying in the 21st and penultimate squad to lead all Mini-Eliminator bowlers with 766 pinfall total.
Frank Cascio, Tonawanda, NY, waited until the last squad to roll the highest set in the 05 and under Division with 690.
U.S. National Amateur champion Diandra Asbaty, Chicago, Ill., was the sole woman to shoot the weekly high series. The USBC spokesperson had a 746-series in the 4th qualifying squad on Tuesday morning, the second highest of the tournament, to lead the 35 and under Division.
Lennie Boresch (left), Kenosha, Wis., was close behind Asbaty with 744 to finish as the overall leader in the Open Division.
Ed Roberts (right), Braintree, MA, set the pace in the 50 and over Division with 735.
Other squad leaders in the 22nd squad were "Mr. 900" Jeremy Sonnenfeld, Sioux Falls, SD, 698 in the 35 and under Division. Also advancing to the finals from this division was Stuart Williams from England.
Ron Nelson Jr., Bridgeview, Ill, won the 36 to 49 Division with 676. Greg McMahan, Dandridge, TN, led the squad in the 50 and over Division with 651.
Wu Siu Hong, Hong Kong, won his second consecutive squad in the Open Division with 723. He earned two byes as the Division Daily Leader.

The Mini-Eliminator finalists will take on the 70 lanes at The Orleans Bowling Center at 6pm. The finals format is beat half-the-field in your division to advance. When all five divisions have one bowler left these five division champions will bowl a one game shootout to determine the top 5 places and the 2006 Mini-Eliminator Champion.
