    14 countries set to compete at Sunset Station's Strike Zone Bowling Center

    2010PWCLogo.jpg The United States Bowling Congress (USBC) will host the 2010 PABCON Women's Championships from Sept. 25 - Oct. 2, 2010 featuring the top women bowlers from the Pan American Bowling Confederation.

    The Championships will be held at Strike Zone Bowling Center, a 72-laner located inside the players' hotel, Sunset Station Hotel and Casino, in the city of Henderson, Nevada, about seven miles from the Las Vegas International Airport.

    14 PABCON member countries - Bahamas, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Guatemala, Mexico, Peru, Puerto Rico, Venezuela, and the Team of the host country, the United States of America - have announced to send at least one or maximum six players to compete for medals in six events - Singles, Doubles, Trios five-player Team, All Events and Masters match play.

    Team USA will consist of two-time World Cup champion Shannon Pluhowsky, World Singles Champions Shannon O'Keefe and Stefanie Nation, Pan American Games gold medalist Tennelle Milligan, U.S. Open and USBC Queens champion Liz Johnson, who recently won the Petersen Classic, as well as PBA Tournament of Champions winner, Kelly Kulick.

    The Colombian team is spearheaded by 2-time World Champion Clara Juliana Guerrero, fellow World Ranking Masters champions Sara Vargas and 4-time Central American Games gold medalist Rocio Restrepo.

    The Canadian team is led by two Bowling World Cup champions, Caroline Lagrange (2009) and Kerrie Ryan-Ciach (2003), and 2009 PABCON Championships Masters runner-up Robin Orlikowski . The team from the Dominican Republic features Central American Games Doubles champions Paula Vilas and PBA Women's Series bowler Aumi Guerra. Five of the 14 countries have named their players yet.

    USBC will provide live streaming broadcasts from the event.
