Teece, Rudshagen add their names to the leaderboard at Track Dream-Bowl Palace Open

    2013EBT02RichardTeece.jpg2013EBT04BjornEinarRudshagen.jpgRichard Teece (pictured left) of England and Bjørn Einar Rudshagen (right) of Norway moved into third and fourth place in the overall standings of the 4th Track Dream-Bowl Palace Open by Erdinger on the penultimate day of qualifying at Dream-Bowl Palace in Unterföhring/Munich, Germany.

    Teece used high games of 269, 257 and 252 to lead Squad 13 with 1407, the third-highest six-game series of the 164 players from 22 countries. Dominik Hergenröder of Germany held on to the lead with 1415 and is followed by Daniel Fransson of Sweden with 1414.

Rounding out the top 8, who will receive two byes at the end of the qualifying, are Daria Kovalova (left) of Ukraine, who is the best of 20 women in the field 1404 including handicap, Alexander Koller, Germany (1400), Robert Andersson (right), Sweden (1395) and Squad 1 leader Hansi Glasl, Germany (1392).

    Michael Grabovac of Austria, who was second to Teece in Squad 13, missed the top 8 by 12 pins to sit in ninth place with 1380. Swede James Gruffman rolled a 1348 series to lead Squad 14 and to move into 14th place overall. Thomas Larsen set the tone in the morning Squad 11 with 1314, good for 27th place.

    2013EBT08JosefineLinderoth.jpgThe cut raised by another 75 pins on Friday. Josefine Linderoth (right) of Sweden now holds the 50th and last place to qualify directly to the finals with 1270 or an average of 211.67 including handicap.

    Qualifying continues Saturday, July 27, with Squads 15-18 scheduled for 8 a.m., noon, 4 and 8 p.m. CEST and concludes with the one-game Desperado Squad slated for 11.30 p.m.

    2013EBT11DreamBowlPalaceOpenLogo_small.jpg The 4th Track Dream-Bowl Palace Open by Erdinger is the 11th stop of the 2013 European Bowling Tour and the fourth out of six EBT "Gold" tournaments this season. The tournament will be held July 20-28 at 52-lane Dream-Bowl Palace in Unterföhring near Munich, Germany.

    The DBO offers total prize fund of 70.000 Euro with 6.500 Euro going to the winner, 4.500 to the runner-up, and 3.500 and 2.500 Euro to the third and fourth place finisher, respectively. Low to cash is 64th place for 500 Euro.

    The Dream-Bowl Palace Open features a 42 feet Kegel Sport Series Autobahn 2542 lane conditioning pattern with 25.85 ml volume oil total.

    Qualifying (six-game series, unlimited re-entries) runs from Saturday July 20, through Saturday, July 27, with the last qualifying squad 18 scheduled for 8 p.m. CEST. The qualifying winner will receive a 1.000 Euro bonus.

    Qualifying concludes with the one-game Desperado Squad slated for 11.30 p.m. Women receive 8 pins handicap each game throughout the entire tournament, a standard for women on the European Bowling Tour.

    A total of 64 players including the top 50 from the overall qualifying standings plus the top 6 from Squads 1-7, the top 4 from the Desperado Squad and the top four from a "High-Low" list (lowest and highest game added together; additional 10,-€ per squad) will qualify for the finals on Sunday, July 27. The top 8 qualifiers will receive two byes, while qualifiers 9-16 will bypass the first round of the finals.

    Three four-game rounds each starting from scratch will trim the field to 40, 24 and then twelve players, who will carry forward their third-round pinfall total into the first of three three-game rounds which will trim the field to eight and then four players who will determine the champion.

    2013EBTLogo_small.jpg The 2013 European Bowling Tour consists of 19 tournaments in 13 countries including two Platinum, six Gold, four Silver and seven Satellite events.

    The top 50 men and the top 50 women in each event earn ranking points based on how they finish. The winner of a Platinum tournament receives 250 ranking points, the winner of a Gold tournament such as the Dream-Bowl Palace Open gets 150, the winner of a Silver tournament earns 100, and the winner of a Satellite tournament gets 50 ranking points.

    Points are tabulated throughout the season and the top 12 men and the top 12 women qualify for the seventh EBT Masters to be held March 3, 2014 at Dolfijn Bowling in Tilburg, Netherlands immediately following the EBT Hammer Bronzen Schietspoel Tournament 2014.
