Tor-Øyvind Lunde of Norway earned the bragging rights as the early tournament leader with a big 1467 series and an average of 244.50. Lunde rolled games of 201, 259, 224, 258, 278 and 247 to beat out compatriot
Martin Moen Stikbakke for the top spot by 25 pins.
