Canadian Robin Orlikowski leads 35 and under Division in Squad 5

The Orleans Bowling Center in Las Vegas, Nev., July 3-9, 2006

Robin Orlidowski.jpg One squad after Team USA member Diandra Asbaty led the 35 and under Division, longtime Team Canada member Robin (Crawford) Orlikowski accomplished the feat in Squad 5. Orlikowski rolled a 683 series to receive one bye for the finals and is guaranteed $1,000. Mike Rose Jr. shot the highest series of the Open Division thus far with 741. Greg Benefield of Blue Springs, Mo., totaled 716 to set the pace in the 36 to 49 Division.

Diandra Asbaty shoots highest series of the 13th Annual Mini-Eliminator

Diandra Asbaty.jpg Current U.S. National Amateur champion Diandra Asbaty (pictured), Chicago, Ill., shot a 746 three-game series in the 10am squad on Tuesday to earn one bye worth $1,000 for the finals in the 35 and under Division on Sunday July 9th. Other squad leaders were Paul Enright, Kerry Fulford, Chuck Czygryn and Missy Bellinder.

Junior Team USA members come up strong in Mini-Eliminator qualifying

PJ_Haggerty_5207.jpg Erik Vermilyea.jpg Former Junior Team USA member Erik Vermilyea, Maplewood, Minn., and current Junior Team USA member PJ Haggerty, Clovis, Calif. not only made the cut to the finals on the first day of qualifying in the 13th Annual Mini-Eliminator, but earned two byes as Division Daily Leader, worth $1,500 apiece.

Rhino Page paces the field in the Mini-Eliminator qualifying

Rhino Page.jpg 2005 U.S. National Amateur champion Rhino Page of Fresno, Calif. fired a 719 three-game series in the second qualifying squad in the 13th Annual Mini-Eliminator to lead the Open Division and to earn minimum one bye for the finals, worth $1,000. Among the field in the 12am squad were four players from the Hong Kong national team, Vanessa Fung, Wu Siu Hong, Wicky Yeung and Daniel Yiu. The team is coached by Art McKee.

13th Annual Mini-Eliminator is underway in Las Vegas

Mark Eestes.jpg Ulf Bolleby.jpg The first six players advanced to the finals in the 13th Annual Mini-Eliminator in Las Vegas, Nev., in the first off 22 qualifying squads. Senior Mark Estes of Grapevine, Texas, got out of the gates quickly, shooting a 712 three-game series. Former Swedish international Ulf Bolleby was the best of just three players in the to 49 Division and secured his spot in the finals with 544.
