The multiple Dutch champion and Bowler of the Year was created 'Knight of the Order of Oranje-Nassau', for her outstanding achievements as a player and as the coach of the Dutch national team.

Moor earned 100 ranking points to overtake the lead in the European rankings with 251 points. Belmonte, who received 80 points for finishing second, is mere one point behind at 250, with previous leader Osku Palermaa third 249.
Coming from the World Tenpin Masters in England, where he continued his winning streak, PBA super star Chris Barnes and his wife Lynda, a former PWBA champion and the reigning QubicaAMF World Cup queen, made a stopover in Paris, the capital city of France, where they met with French bowlers on Thursday, April 27th.

Chris Barnes was the favorite in the 9th World Tenpin Masters at Metrodome in Barnsley, England and he did not disappoint his fans. The PBA star defeated England's best bowler, Paul Moor, 458-437 over two games total pinfall to receive the $30,000 top prize and to bring his total earnings out of the last three tournaments to $330,000. Moor, who finished second for the second consecutive year, and was consoled with $10,000.

In an all-Swedish semi-final match, Gruffman defeated Patrick Bohm, 2-0. Obst went the distance to eliminate David Jones, England, 2-1.

The top 24 players in All Events (18 games) advance to the Masters finals on Saturday and Sunday.
