Kegel will provide lane maintenance for 15 out of 22 events in 2007
Kim Thorsgaard Jensen, Denmark, European Tenpin Bowling Federation Vice President has announced that the ETBF has signed a three-year contract with Florida-based Kegel Company effective for the years 2006 through 2008. During contract period Kegel will be the official lane maintenance partner for the ETBF.
Hollywood-Super-Bowling in Innsbruck, Austria (Aug 5-6, 2006)
Former German international Peter Wolfschaffner averaged 236,86 over 14 games en route to win the 6th Fun-tastic Games at Hollywood-Super-Bowling in Innsbruck, Austria, with the maximum of 42 points. After a sluggish start with two sub-par games, Wolfschaffner played in his own league and became the first player in the six-year history of the tournament, who won all 14 games.
Paul Moor and Stuart Williams, both from England, have positioned themselves atop the leaderboard of the 2006 men's European rankings after the conclusion of the Danish Masters Classic. Moor (right) finished second to widen his lead with 455 total points. Williams (left) leaped into second place behind a fifth place finish with 341.
In the championship match of the Evje Open International 2006, No. 1 seed Geir Olav Pedersen (left) defeated Per Kristian Eide, 258-217, en route to win the title and the 30.000 Norwegian Kronor first-place check. In the championship match over two game total pinfall, top seeded Greulich started with a huge 266-game to take a commanding 72-pin lead and never looked back.
Ray Falzon of Malta defeated No. 1 seeded Or Aviram, Israel, 408-333, over two games total pinfall to win the 2nd Cockatoos Pafos Open in Cyprus and the 5.600 Euro top prize. The 2nd Cockatoos Pafos Open drew 125 players from Cyprus, England, Finland, Greece, Israel, Lithuania, Malta, Poland, Russia, Sweden and Ukraine.

Two-time defending European ranking champion Paul Moor from England is back atop the men's rankings after winning the Ciutat de Barcelona in Spain, the 12th event of the 206 European Bowling Tour. Moor earned 100 ranking points for the victory and overtook Jason Belmonte and Osku Palermaa, who were at the World Youth Championships with the Australian and Finnish youth national squads.
Michael Lehmann, sports manager of USC Bowling 1952 Viernheim and tournament organizer of the 100.000 Euro Viernheim Open, has informed us that club is mourning the death of Andrea Jonasdofsky. The 38-year-old former German National Champion suffered from a stroke during a bowling tournament last Sunday and passed away at the young age of 38 on early Tuesday morning July 25th.

In a match between two Englishmen, two-time defending European ranking champion Paul Moor topped No. 1 seed Stuart Williams, 221-178, to win his second EBT title of the 2006 season after the Istanbul Open. Moor received 10.000 Euro as well as 100 ranking points and will overtake the lead in the 2006 European rankings.
Daniel Stride finished match play with games of 214, 248, 238, 267 and 223 to cruise to victory in the Jim Brewer Singles. On the women's side, Jo Harries was handed the victory on silver plate by Lisa Gardner, who finished with a 141-game to settle for second place mere three pins behind Harries.

A 'gentle giant' who had dreamed of playing tenpin bowls for his country has died in Australia on the eve of his full international debut. RAF Sergeant Lez Rogers, 38, flew to Melbourne with wife Kay just days after they celebrated their 19th wedding anniversary. But before father-of-one Lez, ranked as Wales' top male tenpin bowlers last year, had a chance to play in the Commonwealth Championships, he collapsed on an evening out with friends.

Ray McDowell of Poland defeated Achim Grabowski from Germany in the championship match of the 5th Slovakia Open on Sunday at the Brunswick Bowling Aupark in Bratislava, Slovakia. In the match over two games total pinfall, McDowell took a slim two-pin lead after game one with 229-227. While multiple German champion Grabowski added another 227-game, McDowell struck in all but one frame to cruise to victory with a huge 279-game, 508-454.
Paul Moor and Jo Harries won the all events titles in the European Fives at Number Ten bowling center in Norwich. Moor averaged 230,09 for 11 games to lead his team RollRite to victory in the team event. Harries won her second ranking title of the season with 213,91 average.

Or Aviram and Mali Mizrachi won the men's and women's individual titles in the 2006 Israel National Championships yesterday at the Petach-Tikva bowling center. Aviram was declared Israel's Player of the Year by the Israeli Bowling Federation.
Tomy Wende and Alexandra Göbel claimed the men's and women's titles in the 2006 German National Championships at U.S. Play bowling center in Dresden. Alexandra (pictured) followed in the footprints of her twin sister Michaela, who won the women's championship in 2004 and 2005.
Sébastien Cagnat and Marylin Planchard won their first individual titles at the 2006 French National Championships in the 'Elite' division. Planchard stormed to a sensational victory in the women's division and dethroned 11-time defending champion Isabelle Saldjian.
