Just one month after the European Tenpin Bowling Federation has announced that the Hungarian Open was cancelled, they lost another event from the 2006 European Bowling Tour as the 9th stop in Naples was dropped. The Memorial Antonio Vendemini scheduled to be held at Oltremare Bowling Center in Naples, May 2-7, 2006, was cancelled by the organizer.

The European Tenpin Bowling Federation has announced that the Danish Masters Classic will replace the Hungarian Open on the 2006 European Bowling Tour. The tournament will be held from July 29 through August 13 at World Cup Hallen Rodovre, Denmark, as the 13th of 20 Tour stops in 2006.
Few days after the European Tenpin Bowling Federation has introduced "Special Playing Rules", ETBF Vice President Kim Thorsgaard Jensen has announced "a new set of rules" regarding late cancellations in tour stops. The new rules will allow the ETBF to suspend players from 60 days to life time from EBT stops and allows ETBF and every EBT tournament organizer to charge penalty fees for violating those rules.
The European Bowling Tour has announced two changes for its 2006 season. As published yesterday, the Kingpin Million Dollar Challenge to be held at the National Bowling Stadium in Reno, Nevada, October 22-30, 2005 was postponed by the management. We have now received the Kingpin Postponement Official Statement promising that "all contestants will be offered a full refund of any and all funds they have paid the Kingpin organizers."
2004 European ranking champion Paul Moor of England won his third title on the 2005 European Bowling Tour when he defeated Norwegian Tore Torgersen, 214 -170, in the TV finals of the Norwegian Open. Moor, who shut out the PBA exempt bowler with four consecutive strikes at the end, pocketed 10.000 Euro. Torgersen received 5.500 Euro for his second consecutive runner-up finish on the EBT. Or Aviram of Israel and Swede Mathias Arup, who lost in the semis garnered 2.700 Euro each.
