Steve Sanders, President of Pinacle Events, has announced that the fifth Annual Super Bowl Mini Eliminator, to be held at the 70-lane Orleans Bowling Center in Las Vegas, Feb 6-12, will guarantee $50,000 first place up from $30,000 this year. Two 'locals' topped the opening day qualifying rounds of the inaugural MoRich Mixed Doubles National Championship, being held February 3-5 at the Orleans Bowling Center. Local they may be, but also well known throughout the world of bowling are the first day leaders Wendy Macpherson, the former PWBA superstar of Henderson, Nevada and Paul Renteria of Las Vegas. 
The $100,000 MoRich Mixed Doubles National Championship will roll Super Bowl weekend February 3-5 at the Orleans Bowling Center in Las Vegas, Nev. There will be eight 3-game qualifying squads. 1 in 4 teams will cash and 1 in 8 will make the finals. The winner - one woman and one man - will split the big $16,000 top prize. I caught up with him via cell phone in Los Angeles with the intentions of talking to him about his ever growing and ever improving Super Bowl Mini Eliminator Tournament at The Orleans Hotel in Las Vegas Feb. 6-12, plus the new $100,000 Morich Mixed Doubles National Championship Feb. 3-5 at the same site. 
Super Bowl Week is perhaps the most exciting and anticipated time in all sports. The annual football extravaganza is the single-most ballyhooed sports event in America. Inasmuch as the Super Bowl Championship consists of only one game, it surpasses all other sports in TV ratings. Commercial costs on this event are astronomical…far exceeding most TV ads.
